Competitor rules
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. I have a 5850 running 3x1680x1050, runs fine on my spare eyfinity set up.
Have a 6950 (@6970) on main running 3x1920x1080. (I used to run 5850's in crossfire)
You can't have everthing set to max in things like BF3 but a lot of games run fine. Left for Dead 2 / Warcraft / Counter Strike GO (Beta).
A guy at work has 3 eyefinity setups all running on 6870's. That run fine.
I see a lot of people comment on a single cards and eyefinity that have obvously never tried them and assume all people want to run them at max res/settings.
If I was you I would get a SH 5850/6850 then look to xfire them if you aren't happy with the performance or sh prices drop furthur.
