Display port Monitor connect to Xbox?

Hey guys,

I hope all is well

I was hoping if anyone could show me what cable I need to connect my monitor to my Xbox.

My issue is that my monitor is display port only and Xbox is HDMI.

I bought a cable already but it did not work. It was a male DP to HDMI female adapter.

I have been told that I need an active adapter. I don't know what exactly I'm looking for and I don't want to waste money again.

Could anyone link me to the appropriate item?

True - DisplayPort outputs can be converted to HDMI passively using a cable but not the other way around. I got caught out by this at work after buying a whole bunch of cables.

Haven't found an active device that can do this yet but interested to find out

try googling "startech HDMI or DVI to DisplayPort Active Converter" quick note never tried one myself but one i found said works with Xbox also note limit on resolution
