Display Port- Splitter?

I currently have my main machine connected to my ROG Swift by the display port which is the only connector. I am needing now to add a second machine to the office- mostly as a networked slave for files and stuff- but will need sometimes to see it on the monitor when making updated etc.
Is there any way for me to be able to choose between both machines on the same monitor with a simple swtich/cable etc.
Thanks in advance- also posted in the Monitor section as not sure where best would be

Not sure if it was a dud cable, monitor didn't like the cable or it's just not supported but it didn't work for me when I tried a splitter on the rog swift.

The only way to do this I think would be to use a different port, but I know at the back of my Rog Swift there is only a single display port, it may not be possible. There are display port splitters on Fleabay you could try though which could work.

With the G-Sync unit you are gonna have problems with splitters plus many of them don't provide the bandwidth for full refresh on the Swift. DP in general doesn't cooperate well with that kind of thing and KVMs with full display port capabilities are expensive and few and far between.

One of the reasons I switched from the ROG Swift to the Dell equivalent is that it has an additional HDMI connection so I can switch between 2 different systems.
