Display port ?

I've just recently got a 4980 with display port built in, sapphire vapour-x. I'm going to buy the HP LP2475w 24", this has display port built in too.

Question: Will this make any difference over DVI, if so, how and why ?

Just read that this monitor has a an input lag of 25ms, but, apparently, with a display port graphics card this disappears. Is this true ?

After doing a quick search around the web for this monitor and input lag over displayport it seems as though that it was/is still just rumour. I've not seen any review sites or individual user forum response demonstrating an actual input lag test (the usual clone the TFT next to a CRT, start a stopwatch app, get a digital camera etc) with the displayport on the HP.
