Displaying Thumbnails for PDF Documents? (Windows 10)

Hi All,

With Apple, all PDF's are represented as mini thumbnails of the actual document.

This is a really useful feature, Windows appears to only show a generic Adobe/PDF icon and file name. You either have to open said PDF to find out what it is; or rely on guess work! A simple thumbnail of the book/magazine cover could save time.

Is there a way of getting Windows to show a thumbnail of the PDF cover rather than the boring Adobe/PDF icon? Alternatively, a program which could potentially do the same job?

Many thanks in advance.

I just use preview when looking through lots of PDF drawings. Not quite the answer you're looking for but does make life easier because you dont have to open them all.

can use an alternative directory/folder browser like freeCommander with a quickview window
..... even on apple you're barely going to have the resolutioin to see enough detail to id the file ? and if you have to focus the thumbnail first that's a preview ?
