I bought a Dell U2311H (£204 ) to replace my recently deceased 28" hannsg and I'm fairly sure there isn't but is there any benefit to plugging it in with displayport rather than the included DVI cable?
Skirting around the forum rules as best I can. There is a deal on at a certain world famous PC company for 25% off and with a quick google you can get a further 5% off. Inc VAT.
The image quality should be just as good as DVI as displayport is also a digital connection. The benefit of having this port is that it can be used with modern graphics cards with displayport output (and leave the DVI port free for another input). Also, if you want to run an eyefinity setup then you need to use at least one displayport connection. If you don't have a displayport monitor then you need to buy a separate active displayport adapter - but with the dell you wouldn't need to buy this adapter and could run it directly off the card.
