DisplayPort cable = flickering and monitor turning off and on

Is that the 25 minute bump?

To rule out a problem with the monitor have you tried dual link DVI if the monitor supports it?

No it was an edit, I posted in the wrong thread.

Yes I've tried dual link dvi and it works fine. But the whole reason I bought the DP was so that I could run all my monitors at the same time. I have to use the DVI for my hazro so that only leaves DP for the benq.

So you're trying to run the Hazro @ 2560 x 1440 @ 60Hz and the BenQ @ 1920 x 1080 @ 120Hz?

I don't have the answer but I'll pose the question of whether it's trying to run a combination like that which is causing the problem.

Perhaps someone can enlighten us.

Have you tried the BenQ on its own @ 120Hz via DP?

If both monitors work correctly individually then I'd say it's the combination which is causing the issue.

Yeah I've tried the monitors on there own and the problem persists. I just tried the cable on my room mates monitors and they are making his flicker also. :/ Beginning to think it's just a dodgy cable ocuk has sold me.

I just had an ingenious theory... And turned out I was right (touch wood). My "6970" is really a 6950 with unlocked shaders. Rebooted the computer flicked the bios switch and wolah! Problem = solved.

Thought I'd leave this here as it's likely this problem will crop up on plenty others.

I have the same problem using dp on a Twin FrozR III. Loads of complaints about it on the net. I gave up and gone to using 2 dvi ports.
