Displayport cable help

Hi all

I have acquired an AOC AGON AG271QG from the MM. I am currently using DVI so obviously need to get a nice DP cable for 144Hz 1440p running from my 1080. What "type" of DP cable do I need? I get confused with these 1.2 1.4s etc. Will any DP cable run all these specs?

Just get a VESA certified (https://www.displayport.org/product-category/cables-adaptors/) 1.4 cable. You could go down to 1.2 which appears work at that resolution and refresh rate, but I'd just get a 1.4.
