DisplayPort cable

Hi folks,

Currently using a dual link DVI cable to connect my 580 to my Dell 3008WFP. The cable is generally fine but I'm thinking of moving over to DP.

Any recommendations for DP cables? I guess I'll need a DVI>DP cable and something capable of the full 2560x1600 res and high colour depth.

why bother? you won't experience any increase in image quality or any other attribute, measurable or no.

And that's especially true if you have to use a converter of some sort :eek:

aye been researching today. seems that my 580 has a miniHDMI port so i could go from miniHDMI > DP but as you say probably no point. cheers,

Hi , i have just plugged in a mini dp to dvi active adaptor and the image came up nice but cant say it is any better than dvi tbh, havent tried gaming yet with it , does anyone know if i should be changing anything for eyefinity ect or are these things plug and play?
