Got New Monitor today it says its got 1 DisplayPort 1.2 Socket

Overclockers Sell this Cable But it Doesn't say if its DP 1.2 Compliant

DP 1.2 is a standard that's 5+ years old. I'd be amazed if you could buy a cable that wouldn't work.

For a better answer I'd suggest you supply the model of the monitor and what you're planning to connect it to.
