Hey all,

I have HDMI (Intel 4770k graphics) and a displayport only monitor - sold my 980 ti for pascal.

What cable / adaptor can i use to get my main pc working?

AFAIK the only way you can connect an HDMI output to a DP input is with an expensive active adapter - you can get a passive lead/adapter to go the other way but not seen anything cheap that does it the way you want.

Some of the FreeSync and G-Sync monitors (more so G-Sync and some 4K for both) only have 1x DP and no other connections.

Didn't realise. I have a whole host of inputs on the back of my Sammy. Fancy cheaping out on expensive G-Sync monitors...

I looked into something like this a while ago and as Rroff said the only way that could work would be an expensive active adapter, ended up not buying any though.

The early GSync modules only supported Displayport. Hence the RoG Swift for example (that I paid £650 for!) only has 1xDP.

I also have a Dell 3007WFP-HC, an old 30" 2560x1600 monitor, that only has Dual Link DVI, as that was all scaler chips allowed in that era.

I don't really care though, I don't really need a monitor with a ton of inputs. My 3rd monitor is an LG which does have a few different inputs if I am working on another PC.
