Hi Guys,

I have just upgraded to a 980ti and am considering buying one of the soon to be released Acer Predator x34 monitors. It's 3440 x 1440, 100hz and G-Sync.

The issue is that it (and all G-Sync monitors) only has 1 DP input and I need to use the display for "everyday" use which means hooking it up to my MacBook Pro via DP too.

I do not want to have to be constantly swapping the cable between the two devices as with my desk layout it's simply not practical, hence the requirement for a KVM.

Searching around has resulted in me finding just one device that appears to meet my needs (Belkin F1DN102P), however it is massively expensive (I'm in the UK, but US prices are $800).

Are there any other devices you guys can recommend that will meet my needs?

Had a quick browse on google for display port switch i think you will find what you're looking for

There are loads of DisplayPort KVM's / switches, but they all seem to be restricted in the resolution that they support, making them unsuitable for 1440p or 3440 x 1440 resolutions.

The one that you had linked to (http://www.lindy.co.uk/audio-video-...port-c178/2-port-4k-displayport-switch-p8796/) seems to get around the resolution restriction by supporting 4k, however a review of the specs say it supports a max of 2.7Gbps per lane bandwidth which would not be anywhere near enough for gaming at the above resolution at a decent FPS.
