Got some S27A750D's this weekend.

With my 7970's am getting displayport link failure on resume. I need to power down and power up monitor to get windows back.

Tried different cables. Is the same on each monitor independently - not running them together.

Have just spent weeks tracking down a sleep/resume issue with my motherboard, and could do without a new bloody new one.

Hope one of you guys has an easy solution.

Using 12.4 drivers btw.
 
Eyetrip how often does it happen, ive had it 3 times in 4 months, just cycling hdmi and back to dp sorts it for me, if its any help im not useing any adapter i bought a cheap mini dp to dp cable from the auction site for a fiver, if its happening quite often it might be worth contacting samsung

Like I said, I don't know if it's anything to do with the problem you're experiencing.

They say that a fair few people are having problems so it may be worth investigating what the issues are.
 
Can someone with the same monitor, and a 7970, that can successfully resume from sleep without getting "link failure" pplease let me know which brand card you are using.

I will try a different BIOS on GPU and see if have luck.

If I don't have any joy after tonight, am giving up on sleep mode, and sticking with hibernate.

EVERY SINGLE issue I have had with my current setup has been sleep related, and I've had enough :(
 
hi eyetrip, ive had the issue a couple of time but nothing to worry about, after reading your post i tried to replicate the problem by letting the monitor go into sleep mode to see if i had any problems waking, i guess i tried ten times and every time the monitor woke without any displayport error. i have the xfx 7970 core edition, 12.4 drivers, windows 7 64bit, also im not useing a mini dp adaptor i have a mini dp to dp lead i bought off the auction site for a fiver
 
Am also using mini-displayport to displayport cable with no adapter.

Will try downloading an XFX bios tonight and see how I get on.

Have also ordered a dvi to dp adapter to come tonight, and will find out if is simply issue with dp connectors.

Also have active mini-dp to dvi converter coming tomorrow, and will then convert this back to dp.

This is the last am spending anything on sorting sleep issues. After this, I will decide on whether to use hibernate, or no form of sleep state at all.

I must say, I hate all these newer connectors for displays. HDMI and DP are just painful.
