Hi guys my laptop has a displayport output and i want to connect to my av reciever/tv i have ordered a displayport to hdmi cable just making sure that i will i still get surround sound like an hdmi cable? cheers
I stand to be corrected, but I think may depend on your drivers for your gfx card, they should have some sort of streaming driver installed with it which would in theory do what you need.
