Not sure if this is the right place for this thread, figured it was here or in monitors.

Anyway, I've got a XL2730Z, which has a single DP that can be used for FreeSync. However I've got 2 PCs with FreeSync capable GPUs.
So I'm wondering if I can get a splitter that would allow me to connect multiple PCs to the one DP connector? I'm sure there are, but will they allow 1440p @ 144Hz and also Freesync?

For that matter do the DisplayPort MST adaptors support 1440p @ 144Hz and FreeSync?

Nobody?

AMDJoe / AMDMatt?

Currently forced to use Nvidia cards because of the poor connection options on AMD 290X cards (had the same thing with my 7950s).
The Freesync issue is because of the limited connection options of my BenQ monitor (which is still better than GSync monitor I know).

You best posting in the monitor section because what you trying to do here isn't a limitations of a GPU nor is it an AMD issue. You would have the same situation if you tried using a Gsync monitor with two PCs..

Imo the key component you need is a displayport cable to take care of what you want to do.

Half is a monitor limitation and I said that. And I've been looking at replacements for the XL2730Z because of that (although a little reluctant to because of how much I (over)paid for it). If we had a section for cables and adaptors I'd have posted in there.

The other bit, regarding DisplayPort MST adaptors is a GPU limitation. If my 290X had 2 DisplayPort connectors (or a DisplayPort and HDMI 2.0 to a lesser degree, that wouldn't solve the FreeSync bit though) it would solve at least one of those issues.

You're looking for a Displayport KVM. The Startech 2 port Displayport switch supports 4K @ 60 Hz, so it has the bandwidth, but you'd have to check with them if it actually works at 1440 Hz or with Freesync. I can't give a link as they sell direct and are thus a competitor.
