I'm trying to connect both my pc and work macbook to a single g-sync display at 120Hz. The monitor has g-sync so I can only use the single DisplayPort 1.2 connection as the HDMI 1.4 only supports 50Hz and desktop stuff (am a dev) at 50Hz is not a great experience.

The problems:
I see there are many on Amazon (one of which I've purchased and will be going back) and many retailers out there who supply them but does anyone have first hand experience of one that worked. Really looking to avoid switching my monitor out to solve the issue.

Hardware:
- Monitor Acer x34p 3440x1440 120Hz (oc)
- Gaming Pc 9900k, MSI Ventus RTX 3090 OC, 32GB, 2TB m2, 4TB SSD
- Macbook 2020 M1
- Brydge Dock
- 2x KabelDirekt 1m DisplayPort 1.4 VESA certified cables
- 1x StarTech 1m USB C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable
- 1x KVM DisplayPort 8K DP 1.4 USB Switch
The problems:
- Application windows sometimes resize and shift positions after switching between machines or cycling power (not overly bothered but nice to have them remain in their last positions)
- Pc is mostly ok on the desktop but gaming drops out, black screens, flickering.
- Macbook is slightly more stable but does the same much less frequently
