Displayport switch?

I'm looking at buying the ROG monitor when it comes out, the only issue is that it only has DisplayPort connectivity which is, well, a shame as I need multiple inputs.

Is there such a thing as a DisplayPort switch? This should be a fairly trivial piece of hardware shouldn't it? However, a quick google suggests these are £100+ and whether those would support 1440p @ 144hz is unknown... and how much input lag would this introduce?

I'm not 100% sure about this but DP is limited to 60Hz ? And what do you meen by switch, an adapter ? If so what type, active or non active ? Cos if you just need a regular lets say DVI to Display port, you can pick them up for a few £'s but if you need an active variant they start off at around £20 up to £100 odd.
