DisplayPort to MiniDP to HDMI not working

Hi
I have an issue with my secondary display not being detected on my Radeon RX480, which is connected via two different adaptors to get to HDMI.

I previously had working: Radeon 6870 --> MiniDP out --> Convert to HDMI (StarTech MDP2HDS) --> HDMI monitor.

I upgraded to an RX480, which has full size display port so I bought a DP to miniDP adaptor. The rest of the signal chain stayed the same.
However, the secondary display is not detected.:eek:

These are the miniDP to HDMI adaptor I have (they're the active type):

These are the DisplayPort to MiniDisplayPort adatpors:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/c2g-15cm-display-port-male-to-mini-displayport-female-black-84305-cb-019-cg.html

The graphics card is the Sapphire RX480, though being reference design, I presume it doesn't make a difference...

My driver version is: Radeon Software Version 16.7.2
I'm using Win7 64bit.

My guess is the DP to miniDP are the issue, but I wandered if anyones got any suggestions other than buying DP-HDMI.

Any RX480 users out there successfully converting DisplayPort to HDMI? Which adaptors are working or any tricks to get it to work?

Cheers
Steve

Solved: Everything started working now.
I unplugged everything else and plugged in one Display port adaptor (with full size to miniDP cable) and got my main monitor working. I repeated the same setup on each monitor: working.
I then had 3 working monitors. I bought an additional Active DP to HDMI dongle and now have all 4 monitors working.

It seems weird that it's the order things are connected that matters but, hey its' working now :)
