DisplayPort Vs DVI

hi guys quick question for you my new monitor has 3 connections available DisplayPort ,DVI ,Vga and my Graphics card has DisplayPort / DVI / HDMI outputs available ,
so of the 2 compatible options Display port and DVI which would i be better to connect ???

Monitor is a Dell Ultrasharp 2412M and graphics card is a ASUS GTX670 Direct CU II Top

If you're just connecting one monitor, it doesn't matter which you choose

As a default option I tend to go for DVI.

Both displayport and dvi will give the same results. Dvi screws in so has a more secure connection.

My limited experience of displayport has led me to hate it.

Dvi, first and foremost.
