This is a bit of an odd request and i'm not sure where to put it (so dons please move where necessary, thanks)

Basically I work for a company who repair computers for an insurance company, now sometimes these computers get written off because they are whats known as beyond economical repair.

I currently have around 25 B.E.R. Computers and I have no idea what to do with them, I've phoned the local recycling center and they have said "no way!"

I could take them to work but its a 500mile round trip which i'd rather not do.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm in Manchester area btw.

Thanks.

Google "computer recycling manchester". The first link is handy. Just look for manchester after clicking on it and it provides you with contact details. Hope it helps!

In Swindon, our recycling centre takes old PC's, TV's videos etc.

I get annoyed with the gvmnts attempt at getting houses to recycle stuff, but businesses are often overlooked or charged for wanting to do these things.

The only thing I suggest is to phone your local council and they should advise.

(Probably at a cost to you..)

Recycling at your local council tip is not free, you pay for it out of your council tax, so buisnesses being charged for the same thing is no different, especially as its usually in larger quantities.

The company I work for has a Waste Electronics and Electrical Equipment depot at Stalybridge, but I'm guessing it would be against forum rules for me to go into any detail. My email is in my trust jobby if you want the details.

PK!
