Dissapointed....

Didnt help.

I get the problem in games, not in the desktop
After forcing nvidia vsync on, it seems to help a lot, but its still there. the lines seem to be frozen in one place so its hard to see them, but still there
Tried other DVI connector.

Ill have to see a friend or something ?

So far ruled out:

PSU
Memory
GPU (Probably, cant see having 2 gpus having the same exact problem. this one being new aswell)

Whats left

Monitor / Adapter / Mobo

?

Ill try capturing the image, once again, but im telling you its nearly impossible to see.

Anyway about BIOS update, when I download it fom ASUS website and unzip it, its a ROM file, nothing else. how would i go about updating ?

32bit WIN7

Liam, I HIGHLY doubt its a GPU issue - 2 Cards with exact same problem, no thanks!

How do I update the BIOS? All it downloaded is a ROM file.

Downloaded ASUS Update utility and got to the end, now it asks me to press 'Flash' to update, or something.

Now ive read that flashing your BIOS can void my graphics card warranty. am I safe ?

Also im not using all the RAM, in windows properties it says 3.25gb usable out of 4gb.

Removed one stick of ram, didnt help.
Ran memtest before, no problems

ehh, ill have to look for the clock thingy

Btw, in furmark its a bit different than in games. I sometimes see a single black line that appears from top or from bottom, going opposite way, then slowing down and and going back to where it came. then the faint flickering starts.

I know this sounds like GPU issue but I really doubt it. in games I dont get that black line o maybe im not seeing it.

Hey thanks guys, maybe it is the cable or adapter after all that causes this tearing.
Im going to a friends house to see if its the GPU because im really not into RMAing it again, and we'll see from there.

hope its ok.

Hey guys, update:

...Not really. couldnt test it yesterday, but definitely doing it today.

this is my schedule:

Test GPU with his AMD chipset (AMD Board, just like mine) If he doesnt get the lines, check my adapter and compare with his. Then ANOTHER VGA cable.

After ive done this ill report today at about 5pm.

wish me luck :/

Been to friends, we couldnt test anything because he wouldnt get display with my card.

I dont get the lines with onboard. So to me it looks like another RMA... ive no idea what to do
