Dissertation question methodology

Afternoon all

Im just re-writing the methodology of my dissertation which is due in on the 24th, however i can't think of the right word for the method of participant selection that i used. I interviewed people that i knew and that offered to take part in the study, ive written it as opportunity selection but im sure that thats wrong.

Does anyone know what this method is called?
