Well as above really, I'm doing BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology at Salford University, and I shall be starting my dissertation in September, or October.

Currently I've not got a clue about what I am going to base it on, all I know is apparently I should include "exploration" in the title, as that apparently makes it easier from what I am told.

Any help on coming up with a title would be good, I'm wanting to get some research done earlier to make my life easier when it comes to next year at uni, and perhaps by doing the research now I may be better organised and less stressed.

Cheers.

To be honest I don't have a specific interest which ain't the best start, I like technology in general.

Did a module called rich media and that was interesting, it was based on HLC, HCI and ERM as well as production of a product and using storyboards and applying HCI into the media product.

I've being thinking of titles and I'm leaning towards something related to social media.

I was thinking of possible incorporating my hobby into it (cycling), so maybe, the impact of social media on cycling.

But I also had an idea of possible doing a dissertation that explores the technology used in the cycling world, such as in TdF, all the communication stuff and media.

The only problem with this is that it appears that there is not that much information on the internet, I was looking on emerald and have not found much.

Now I know there is loads of information on social media and business though.

I'm abit scared I don't know how I'm going to come up with 10,000 words.

I don't think I want to do about project failure, for an assignment in second year I had to write about the failure of the Channel Tunnel project, It was around 2500 words and I found it quite hard to be honest.

Efour2, is that your way of saying it's a crap thing to do a dissertation on or are you being genuine? My detectors are offline.

Ok, so as much as I like cycling, it seems I'm probably just making life harder for myself doing that.

I'm thinking of doing it more towards just social media and business, because it's obvious businesses are increasingly using social media for advertising, stuff travels very fast and a lot of breaking news is revealed first on such networks like Twitter and due to the ever increasing popularity of smart phones, I've found journals on twitter and facebook, probably got a wealth of information on it.

Just need to focus the title properly now I think.
