Something I've been looking at doing for a while, but with IT, masters topics are pretty lame, normally revolving around IT security or other obscure areas.
I'm looking for something broad to do, relating to IT or Computer Engineering. I'm happy with:
DSP
Fourier (signals, etc)
Software
Hardware
then comes the challenge of finding somewhere that lets you do that (or most of it) remotely with perhaps the odd day here and there on campus
