Who's done it?
What subject did you study?
How hard was it to motivate yourself?
How many hours p/w did you put in?
Have you benefitted from it careerwise?

I have tried it doing a masters in public service administration. I found it impossible to stick to any kind of schedule or keep on top of the work required. Even washing the dishes became a higher priority!

Plus my career was taking off nicely without the extra qualifications, so there was no incentive to try and carry on.

Its not something I would really recommend to others.

I have
CIMA (Chartered Institute of Managment Accountants)
It varied. I found for me it was best to set specific days when I studied at certain times and didn't deviate.
4x3 hours = 12 hours (4 days from 7pm till 10pm)
I now earn a good salary ;)

I preferred it to college etc, mean't I could set my own study times and worked to my own pace. I would occasionally take a break if I really wanted to watch a TV show etc. But I knuckled down and made it that Mon-Thurs from 7pm-10pm was study time.
Once I got into the habit I found it pretty easy.

I know others who did similar but didn't set a time and ended up studing Sundays etc as they felt guilty. For me Work/Study started on Monday morning and ended Friday 5pm when I went home. I felt that whilst the week wasn't "fun" I had done my job/studying and had no feelings of guilt for the weekend. My friends etc couldn't say the same as they one night in town or watching TV etc during the week meant that they felt guilty and hence were tempted to "top up" studying at weekends.

Work out what you think would suit you and stick to it, imo a routine is all you need.
