Im plaining on using distilled water but im not sure if i should just buy the ready made stuff ?

If i went with distilled water what would i need (e.g distilled water + Concentrated Biocide) ??
how do i go about adding colour in ?

I see ocuk have got more water cooling stock in and they have new fluids too :) Nanoxia Hyperzero

Nanoxia says "Double-distilled water, anti-corrosive as well as UV-reactive fluorescent dye"

Any good or not ?

Ive heard Thermochill EC6 is supposed to be good

I know you can get precoloured biocides as well if that helps at all.

I have used Feser's distilled water, but it cost quote a bit, so I now use standard distilled water from Lemco and then Petra'sTech PT_Nuke Concentrated Biocide :)

Adding colouring is a great way of adding particles which eventually clog up your pump, block and stain the tubing. If you want pretty water, get coloured tubing.

Deionised water is a lot cheaper, and probably not much in it between deionised and distilled for our purposes.

That's got it pretty well covered I reckon. I do use distilled and micropore filtered medical grade water, but I buy it in Germany in 200l bottles, so the price is very reasonable.

I use deionised water (Halfords battery top up water) and PT Nukes Conc. Biocide. Been a mighty fine combo for me so far :)

im gonna buck the trend and say tap water :D
think the area im in has decent tap water though no problems with algae etc

was under the impression that de-ionised / distilled water took ions from the metallic parts in the loop and slowly regained its conductivity?

Sure, and pure water will immediately become impure when exposed to air/metals etc. Part of the attraction is that if it starts off as water then fills with copper ions, you're probably doing better than starting with an unholy mess.

However I live in a very hard water area, and it would be asking for trouble to fill a ddc with limescale. If the water was better here, I'd be using tap water too :)

Couldn't find it online but i might pop out to the local shop and get some so its, Halfords Coolant Conditioner.

Also my dad said could i use Antifreeze ?
