Anyone else noticed this?

I've been doing a new build and loved my old 800D so I thought I'd try some of corsairs other offerings...

I started with the 540 air, the first one had broken hdd caddies on arrival and a ridiculously noisy fan (bad bearing perhaps). Returned

The second 540s side panel only fits with the screw in diagonally and the cable tidys tear when you push your cables through and finally it develops a loud case vibration rattle because the front and top panels don't fit tight enough. Returned.

Next I order a 750D and it arrives with the front panels not latching as a catch is broken.... about to be returned...

Really annoying as I'd like to finish this build sometime this year.....anyone else having issues?

Wow hard horrible luck there buddy! sorry to hear that, Recently bought a 600t case (just before the air 540 came out) Had no issues with it, In-fact if you look at my sig I own a few corsair products all of them are just fine *touch wood* . However all of them are at least a year old off the product line so I guess I can't comment on the most recent product's corsair has brought out.

My 900D was perfect except one of the lower doors...which has TERRIBLE fitment. I've been meaning to fix it myself...but I should not have to.

It's only one small thing but when you spend Top-Dollar on a case you expect everything to be right,

AX750 failed in 18months, average customer service as you have to babysit and nag on them.
Finally got a replacement AX760 after 2 weeks of downtime.

Hmm got a 540 air coming Monday so hope its not like that will update thread if I remember - maybe thats the reason the price has dropped on them :|

As you can see from my sig I have a few corsair items in my rig, all of them have been perfect and I've been really impressed. I hate to say it but I think you have had a rotten spell of luck. Corsair are known for their build quality and reliability.

That's the same PSU as me I hope mine holds out, what happened to yours? How long is the warranty on them again?

Had to send back a TX750M for a faulty fan/fan controller, and there's a *lot* of complaints about these particular models. I think they are made by C&W rather than Seasonic. Some people have had several RMAs in a row with the same problems until Corsair gave them a HX instead. Weird thing is that there were the same complaints last year, so it's like quality control has lost it's way.

The TX750 I bought a few year back is still going strong in the wife's PC. I kind of get the feeling that Corsair are cutting quality as they chase a bit more profit, or they are just not keeping an eye on the subcontractors that build these things for them.

Corsair Mousemat

Some would say, correctly, that I am a Corsair fanboy. Never had a drama, could just be a very bad run of luck..

Hope your build gets done soon.

*EDIT* - 1 slight issue, Corsair Link Software doesn't seem to be compatible with 8.1.

Had a power supply go bang recently, very disappointed. Also had issues with H100 and Corsair power supply buzzing, had to send it back.

I had an 8GB kit of Vengence DDR3 die on me a couple of months back. Removed my side panel and had to let the dims cool as they were so hot I couldn't touch them. Wasn't even in the middle of a heavy gaming sesh :/

should be 5 years no ?

I've used their customer service recently and honestly it was excellent! They could not have been more helpful.

Bring this to Greybeards attention and i'm sure he'll rectify it for you swiftly.

my 650tx just didn't switch on one day. It had worked for about 2.5 years. I struggled to open a ticket as it wasn't in the drop down list but once I got on the forums they were very helpful. A little miffed at paying postage which was just shy of buying a new psu anyways but they did send one within about 7 - 10 days.

Now you scared me a little, my 540 arrives on Monday.
I'll post when I get it, but I am not really concerned with fans, since I am making a themed build they will be removed anyway.

Often happens with companies. Look at Toyota. Not long ago they were forced to admit that the cars built between certain years were not quite up to scratch. Once a great reputation has been built companies sometimes use that to make higher profits, either through higher prices or trying to compete on price with lower priced/lower quality goods which of course often means dropping quality while hopping the reputation sells.

Have had a a few Corsair products without any issues (H50.1 cooler and TX 650). Nearly bought another Corsair power supply but ended up going with a Seasonic unit this time.
Hopefully it's just a few isolated issues quality issues for Corsair

Toyota made some quality vehicles as well. People build up reputations, then are too willing to lose them in the hunt for slightly higher margins.
