Distorted graphics on my BFG 7800 GTX

Greets all,
Kind of out of idea for what could be causing this but in certain games I get distortion which is basically little blocks flickering all over the screen (ill link a small video to show what I mean as hard to describe).

The card itself is a BFG 7800 gtx 512mb card, had it just under a year now.

The problem has got progressively worse since I got the card, had none of this for the first month or so.

The card is running at 52o Idle, and 77o under full load (is this too hot for this card?).

Tried most recent drivers as well as reverting to those that came with the card with no success, anyone have any ideas what could be causing this ?

This is the video showing what i mean its 900kb (about 10 secs long)
Video Google (not good quality but can still make out the "box" distortions)

Megaupload link to the same video file but clearer, incase you need to see it better...

If anyone has any advice here I would really appreciate it, im startin to think based on what ive researched that there could be a problem with the cards memory (BFG offer a life time cover on their cards so if it is that ill get it replaced but I need to be sure).
Any feedback ill be most thankful!

ey up mate, have you overclocked your graphics card at all?

+ do you run it in a window because some times my games do that if theres another window under/ontop of the game if its in a window :)

its pretty much to do with overclocking tho, if youv overclocked it lower the clocks a bit.

It's not overclocked anymore than it came as standard from the factory (came with a slight overclock by default).

And no thats not when it's windowed.

Hummm the plot thickens.

Anyone with any other ideas what this could be caused by? I've tried emailing BFG but over a week now and still no response (obviously very busy) and still tryin to trouble shoot myself in the mean-time.

it could be the card going, I had my X1600 start to do that it got worse and worse and just died! is it only in COD2?

No its just easier to replicate the problems in CoD2 no idea why. Other examples would be in LOTRO i get long lines flashing on the screen. Or on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all will be fine until it rains and then I get lines flashing all over the place.

yeah its on its way out. Same what happened to mine. try it in a diffrent system if you can. If you can RMA the thing.

Phil

Already tried it in another system (an identical setup to mine as both were bought and built by me at the same time for myself and brother) had same issues there but no issues with their card in my comp - o well... waitin for word back from BFG now.
