Ok, here's the disclaimer: I don't condone the watching of any american teen dramas of any sort.

But, and I know it's not big nor clever, I have been watching Dawson's Creek and I have been noticing some disturbing undertones. This is such as the worryingly common occurance of 'relations' between 15-16 year olds on grown men/women.

Is this normal in small, closed, inbred parts of America?

I would hope not!

The more dramatic tv is, the more viewers going. However a lot of everything seems to be ( judging by conversations ) "Oh my gig did you see what happened in ***** today ***** killed ***** because ***** raped *****"
