Not quite sure how the CPU will die. There's still a heat sink on it and if things get too hot the CPU will throttle and the mobo will shut down.

If ya dont like the smell of cooking chocolate maybe you could try one of the other home made cpu pastes available, maybe try bacon fat or donut batter they might appeal more to your nose
