Hi all,

Got rid of Parallels, as although it was a nice idea, I never actually used it.

However, despite using "CleanApp" to remove it, it's still taunting me every time I right click on a video and use the context menu. Is there any way to completely get rid of it?

Thanks as always

You could look at the User and System libraries and search for Parallels there, and delete any references you find, in addition to any official uninstallation methods.

If it's showing when you 'right click/open with' then you need to rebuild your launch services database. Onyx will do that for you or there's probably a terminal command that'll do it.

This used to work on 10.8 :
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

Then restart...

That worked!! Thank you :)

EDIT - Bugger, no it didn't, came back after watching a couple of videos. Think I'm just going to do a clean install.

Finally found the culprit. The windows application folder was still hidden away in applications, only showed if I searched for it in finder. All fixed now.
