Ditching Z5500s for 2.1 speaker setup

I'm looking to order from OCUK this week.

Any recommendations please?

Sound quality is important to me. I don't really need the best speakers, just something decent to complement my HD595 and Shure E530s.

Aego's as they are proper speakers and very impressive for the money.

If you have the room and money, keep your z5500s and use them with the new stereo set for 7.1.

I would pocket the cash from the sale of the Z-5500's and get yourself down to somewhere like Richer Sounds for a half decent amp and speakers, preferably an amp with a headphone out. The Senns can't be driven properly by the soundcard or most headphone amps on speaker sets.

By the way, is there any way to plugin headphones to the Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1?

EDIT: just realised it doesn't...

Damn it, any ideas how else I can connect my headphones? I have an x-fi soundcard. I could use a splitter but is there a better way?

Nope, not really. I just use a Plantronics Headphone Switch and it works wonderfully.
