I guess Black and White was seen as non inclusive in Brighton now.

These new crossings seem to be appearing all over Brighton. So far they are just being added and existing ones seem unaffected.

They also have this leading to them:

I suspect some new hippy-ish nonsense is behind it.

Except people may not recognise it as a crossing.

The whole point in the highway code is everything is standardized and we don't have people making up their own thing. Cambridge with their "Dutch roundabout" are just as bad.

Probably not legal and official. Several times rainbow crossings have been made by local artists and the council come along and remove them.

Is that some kind of zebra Crossing, if it is, I don't think the yellow lines should be cutting through like that.
And I thought there was a universal code for crossings.
Think it's some hippy lefty crap.

I see the other side of the footpath is closed. So the fancy multicoloured crossing is going nowhere. I guess that's some kind of subliminal message :D

Why did the rooster cross that road? To transition to a hen.

Meh, if someone was waiting at that to cross I'm courteous enough to slow and let them cross. It also looks like it's one of those crossings where the traffic lights turn to red and give the signal for pedestrians to cross, not a zebra crossing.
