We see it every weekend in football, but now it seems its made its way to motorsport. :(

Stolen from another forum, but it appears this rider falls from his bike. Tries to get it restarted and can't. So dives down and feigns injury to cause a red flag.

Looking at the website its a Brazilian Championship, a foreign member on the forum I took it from said that thanks to the video footage he was banned and disqualified from the Championship.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me, no need for it what so ever and puts other riders in danger.

I remember MS getting crashed into the start at Austria one year, and he tried to limp his car into the middle of the track to get it red flagged :D

He does actually look as though he drops the bike on his lower leg. Could easily have knackered his achilles or something.

On another note what if he was seriously hurt. The total lack of response for ages was absolutely shocking, makes you appreciate just how good marshalling and medical support is in this country.

It's pathetic and it's happening in other sports too, but for motorcycles it could have caused another rider to crash.

Here's a boxing clip where it's not the boxer that takes a dive, but the referee.

MSc does not miss a trick.
He managed to park his car on the racing line, after he knew his race was done.

As for the motorcyclist...that was a pathetic attempt to dive.

You have to admire the bare faced cheek of it if nothing else, that was a rather blatant effort :p

That's what I was thinking.
He didnt even attempt to disguise the attempt to dive.
He tried to restart his motorbike. He couldn't. He took a few seconds to think about what to do. Then he dived.

It was amusing.

MSc's "block the racing line" incident was also just as bare faced. His car was off the race line. He realised his car was broken. He then moved the car a few feet forward so that it blocked the race line.

Perhaps MSc was hoping that if the race got red flagged, it would allow him to use the T-car and join the race when it restarted. He doesnt miss a trick...but that's what I admire about him - he has a terrific racing brain. Easily, the most complete racing driver the World has ever seen.

Lol at that rider.

With the Schumacher one, there is no evidence either way that initially he thought he might get to the pit, which would be crucial in those days as often the races would be restarted. So it's all just speculation. Something this forum seems to love.

MSc is an intelligent driver with arguably the best racing mind F1 has ever seen.
You don't find it fishy that he moved his car approximately 6 ft forward, onto the racing line then stopped?

You are right in saying that it could just be coincidence, but in MSc's case (given the catalogue of incidents he was involved in)...I don't believe it - he knew exactly what he was doing. The only way he would stand a chance of getting some points from that race, is if he parked on the racing line and the race was red flagged.

It is all speculation though.

True. I don't think it would have caused a red flag though, the marshals would have just pushed it off track as the safety car was already out. Oh well who knows.

The motorcycle one is totally hilarious though.

You often see crashes in motorcycle racing and the guy jumps straight back up, but then instantly realises that he's got a broken ankle or concussed etc.. and goes down. Never is it as delayed at this. lol
