Just been signed off work for a week with some kind of glandular fever.

Recently finished The Witcher 2, but don't really feel like playing it again tbh. Whilst looking through steam, i found Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga.

Has anyone played it?
Is it worth £30?

BTW, my gaming is all about the story, so that would be what i am most concerned about:)

Can't find any official thread or anything(not much mention of it at all really, not a good sign maybe)

Cheers

Yes its very good. Make sure you get the latest version, the one with the expanison pack because the game was completly overhauled.

Its very very good.

I like the look of the scope of the game. Seems to be lots of side quests.

However, i am hesitant to spend £30 on it tbh. But that's what demo's are for, downloading now

Great game. I finished Dragon Knight Saga few months ago and loved it. It is not as good as Witcher 2 (no RPG made in last 5 years is), but it is great in its own way and quite different. A lot more light hearted, with quirky funny quests and often funny dialogue.
I paid 25 euros for it and do not regret it at all.

It has also fantastic music.

I really liked TW2, but am not as enthusiastic as some about it. I said in the official thread that i found it to be a little bit small, and it just needed one more city to explore to make it a great game imo.

I am hoping Divinity's world is a bit bigger, with lots to explore?

I liked it, looked great and plenty of detail, but once you got outside towns it seemed to be painfully combat-heavy. I Got bored wading through mobs just to get anywhere.

yeah it's really nice to play, also doesn't take itself very seriously. There's a fair amount to do so if you take your time it can stretch out to 50 hrs+.

I have to say that i do find it fairly easy to ignore poor game mechanics if the story is good. Don't mind the combat being a bit poor or glitchy or anything like that, so long as it doesn't too obviously get in the way of the narrative.

PS, i am in the pretty cool position of being signed off work ill (my neck is completely swollen up) but i do not really feel bad at all, and i am not allowed in to work as i work at a hospital:p:D

Very, very good game. Big world with lots to do and I had zero issues. One of the best single player games of this type. Much better than Oblivion IMO.
