This game looks really interesting, it does say in the description that it does support multiplayer, co-op etc..just want to make sure before I purchase that this game supports 2 player local co-op through 1 pc...anyone?

This is a quote directly from the game description "Or up to you and a friend, because Divinity: Original Sin can be played completely cooperatively, and features both online and local drop-in/drop-out multiplayer. Great adventures become even greater when shared with a trusted comrade-in-arms!"

as it's turn based, you could take turns with each character but I think the co-op part that is advertised is done via LAN or steam (I think LAN is what they mean when they say local drop-in/drop-out multiplayer)

also would you not need 2 keyboard and 2 mice to achieve local (single computer) co-op ?

not necessarily if it has controller support. But if not then you make a good point, I just automatically thought it would be playable with a controller.
