Now that you've got a good body / lens set-up, I think you need to get hold of some strobes for shooting BBall. Even if you can't down your ISO, it'll mean that the shots can be exposed correctly and lessen the appearence of noise, it'll also mean that you can use faster shutter speeds, as some of the shots seems a little bit motion blurred.
Try the fred miranda forums for examples of how the pros do it, some cracking stuff over there.

My 20D struggles with basketball immensely, meaning a lot of shots JUST miss focusing, so i have to apply a bit more sharpening that i'd like, bringing out the noise even more. I've seen shots by a friend of mine down south in a worse lit gym with his 1DmkII, and they are fantastic. Shutter speed isn't going to be getting much faster than it already is, 1/640th is quite fast. If i can nail the focusing better, like you can see in the last shot, noise isn't that prevelant at all.

The last shot is cracking when it comes to noise, if you could get them all like that then you'd be sorted.
Why not sell your body to buy a 1dsmkII then? (and I don't mean the black metal one)
