divx on 360?

i tryed divx on 360 from a disc of mine after 360 update still wont play any one else tryed and failed?

It works from disk too. All have worked fine for me.

Did you note when it failed, if it asked you to install the media extender? Or is it failing after that

Bloody hell these threads are gonna get annoying. More divx/xvid threads then when Halo threads when 3 came out!!!

Also these "mine works", "mine doesn't" stuff is a bit silly as we all have different encoded files and most of these files probably cannot be discussed in detail for various legal reasons (assumption on my part).

Perhaps if we develop a thread, where people put the "g-spot" information their file produces whilst blanking out the file names would help?

A thread I would happily contribute to, but am not bothered enough to setup myself.

Works fine on my 360, but when i first tried to play a movie it gave an error saying it needed another update to play unprotected files, downloaded it and all is well.

make sure you changed the source of where you want the media read from.

on your xbox in video blade alter source to "disc"

been catching a lot of peeps out that.
