i'm about to get a netbook with a SSD hard drive in it and i would like to put as little load on the SSD as possible. I'm going to use the system to play a lot of music and video so i want to load all the divx/xvid (700mb/1.3gb legit backups) and mp3 type stuff on to a micro SDHC card - the device only fits the micros AFAIK.

what speed (class?) sdhc do i need? would the cheap class 2's be able to give the read speed to play the video? or could i go for a kingston class 4.. i dont really want to spend £80 on a 16gb class 10 that would buy a 32gb class 2 sandisk and i think a class 4 kingston.. would buy a 1.8" mag hd but would then have to carry it and a usb hub..

edit: not too bothered if it takes ages to copy gigs to it.. i'm used to that, having once used bnc networking :D
