DivX Plus: No sound with MKV files

Downloaded DivX Plus to play some MKV files. I keep getting sound errors saying missing codecs. Thought the DivX Plus pack had every codec needed to play movies.

I have to agree with this...

Download the CCCCP codecs and it has MPC-HC with it. I found it to be a whole lot better than VLC with 720p and 1080p MKV files.

Don't install an unnecessary codec pack. :/

Try to keep everything self contained if possible.

MPC-HC or Splash player, neither of which need dodgy codec packs and just generally work!

It's packaged with CCCP any way so no worries there.

It plays 1080p video brilliantly, couldn't say the same for VLC unfortunately though.

MPC-HC + CoreAVC is the way to go.

I'm going to jump in on this thread, hope this is OK OP!

Anyway, I'm struggling with some MKV with AC3 audio files in WMP12 and WMC on the XBOX 360. AC3 Filter doesn't seem to do anything; after installing files still have no sound. Does anyone know how to get this all working on Windows 7 x64?

Why do you need codecs with MPC-HC. i dont use any....
