DivX through Vista Ulimate to Xbox360

Hi

Im having problems, play them. I can play them in Vista but not via the xbox360.

I have tired diffetent codec pack. But It says I dont have them (or something like that)

Any help would be great.

Transcode 360 (Needs Media Centre)

I've tried both and prefer using Transcode 360 in conjunction with Media Centre.

Install it, browse (via MC) to the video file you wish to watch and hit X on the joypad - there should be an option for Trascoding

I may be stupid but I couldnt get this to work. I installed it but from there I couldnt find out wha to do.

And I tried to follow the instructions.

This does not run under vista ultimate 64.

I use Transcode 360 on vista 32bit and it works fine.

Get the version from www.Transcode360.co.uk not the other one provided by googling as that is an old version

BTW there is a 64 bit version of transcode.

I know it's side stepping the OP's idea but when divx enabled dvd players cost £20 I can't see the point tbh.

Having another box is a pain. Especially if you need to keep swapping the cables round.

I have transcode installed on mine and its flawless. Play everything I throw at it, including the wireless pad sometimes

Files don#t just magically jump from PC to DivX DVD player you know

Where? I read that it would be ages before it is complete, as it required a complete rewrite.
