DIY amp kits?

I'm interested in putting together a DIY amp but am looking for something that will be strong with good sound, is that possible from a DIY amp kit? and what sites can I get this from?

41hz does diy kits, not necessarily the cheapest though.

DIY kits can be fun but be carefull it is an addictive business and you can land up spending a lot of money on tweaks and upgrades down the line that would have got a you a cracking boxed amp in the first place!

This worries me...It looks completely addictive and not having built one before I'm not sure which one to go for...going to have to do a bit of research into this. Also do the amp kits come with a box for the amp or is just purely the pcb and components?

Build a CMoy headphone amp to start with, especially if you've not done much electronics before:

Yep, they're not cheap, but they are very good quality IMO.

I would consider the Amp7 kit 'strong with good sound' but you really need a big PSU for it to work well
