in the absence of a decent 3.5 bay fan controller that i thinks worth the money. and my lack of PWM fans combined with a love of tinkering just for tinkering sake i though id have ago a at this:

priced up the bits to make a couple of these for approx £10. seems like it could be fun. and will solve my amnesia of forgetting to turn up the fans when on full load. i might even make a 3.5" bay adapter for a couple of them.

hah.
tried doing a bay controller for a DT AS project, using BASIC programmable chips.
had manual/temperature control for two fans (was gonna be four, but didnt have the space) and a nice blue LCD showing rpm and temp.

i was using it until i got rid of my dustbuster AMD fan. It just about worked...
