Hi
I thought I'd do a new thread rather than clog up my build log for this question.
I'm changing the position of the PSU in my build and have very little space to play with, and one thing I'm not too sure about right now is cable space for an internal PSU extension, specifically the outer insulation makes the cable 8mm thick and quite inflexible. It will fit where I want it to go, but I may also be running 3 fan cables and a small blower fan in the same place, so it's all gonna get very tight. So I'm looking at making my own.
I think it's just a trio of standard 18awg wire wrapped up in PVC, so could I just use the same 18awg wire for custom cables and be OK? Neatly bundled in some 8mm SATA sleeving I think I'd get a much more flexible cable to route around the nooks and crannies of the case, plus look nicer to boot.
Hit me up with your thoughts!
Cheers.
