Hi guys!

Having some problems with my dual flush loo: there is a constant trickle into the pan. I think I know what part I need but my online search is hampered by not knowing what it's called (or anything, for that matter!).

Here's the whole mechanism:

Here's the 'Black Rubber Seal Thing' that I think is letting the water through in place:

And here's two close ups of the seal thing I need to know the name of:

I've scoured the B & Q and Wicks sites by eye too but can't find anything that would fit :(. Anybody got any suggestions? Sorry for being massively thick!

Thanks,

Matt

Thanks for the help guys!

Cistern.

And most probably its the seal (as you correctly identified). Somestimes flipping it upside down can give it an extended lease of life, but if they can be mounted only one way then no choice but to replace it.
EDIT: Ooh a fellow Hampsharian! If you live near to Farnborough, take that to Lunns, they will know exactly how to sort you out. And quite helpful folk there too, if a little on the expensive side. Good luck :)
EDIT2: Heres there website. Im pretty they dont sell any of OCUK products and vice versa :D http://www.shop.lunns.net/ Not the most attractive website but they are quite good.

That doesn't look too far away so I'll pop down there, thanks matey :D

It doubles up as a pretty useful gaming rig sometimes: I FLUSHED BLACK OPS DOWN IT.

See what I did there? ;)

Oh and you can't turn the rubber section upside-down as it only goes on one way (pics aren't clear on this) :D

I've got exactly the same on my loo and was allowing some water through.
I'm not a plumber, but here's what I did;
Turned off the water to the system and removed the mechanism.
Found there was some limescale on both the rubber seal and the hole that it attaches to. Cleared off as much of it as I could (Mr muscle limescale remover did a good job) and applied some Vaseline to the area that makes contact.
Secured the mechanism back into place and its been good as gold for well over a year now.
Yours maybe caput-skee, but the above worked well for me.

No limescale on mine, but it was a bit slimy. Cleaned it off and it improved but certainly didn't fix the problem. Vaseline's a good idea though; I'll give that a go :D
