TLA Ahoy!!!

This could be the biggest tumbleweed thread ever but here goes...mods I've no idea what could possibly be the right forum for this thread :D

Could you couple the following together:

1) A 12V/1300mAh lead-acid battery - $15

2) PicoUPS - $30

3) PicoPSU - $60

Stick it all together and for $100 you basically have a mini PSU/UPS system for your SFF pc made of win?

I know nothing about electronics but this seemed like something fun to do :p

Judging by the fact that the PicoPSU has a peak output of 120W. You better be running a GameBoy. ;)

120w PicoPSU will happily run a dual core atom / ion board, hdd, odd and memory. I used a smaller 90w on an original Atom single core / intel GMA board and the GMA chip pulled so much power it nullified the point of the Atom processor.

Hm so reading around I'd probably need 2 x batteries and the picoPSU that takes 12v-24v. Might be a cool project though :D

*edit*

And yeah, net-tops like the ASRock ION max out a 40W IIRC!
