dizee rascal

Try Kano and Sway. Sway is more "happy go lucky" but still good.

If your looking for more grimey try Trim or Wiley. All of these have mix tapes etc. out at the moment i think.

yeah its probably the grimeyness i like actually, since i normally listen to pure "noise"

well that how my non noise listening mates describe it :p

I thought he was utter carp until I saw him at Leeds last year.

Was never into the music or him, but we went to see him as a laugh and take the mick out of all the omheboys, ended up lovin it, was the best person I saw at Leeds bar Muse, but you expect Muse to be amazing and aanything less is just not good!

also try skepta, jme, ghetto, klashnekoff - there are so many

best best is to get some mix cds and take it from there

Snap, I had Justice and a Simian track on in my car the other day and my friends were just like "what is this noise?" :p

I like a bit of Dizzee too, I like his accent but I'm not sure what comes close, Klashnekoff is quite good but different, focus mode is a good album and then you've got lady sovereign if you want the female side of things but she's just a bit of a laugh. :)

thanks for the suggestions everyone , will check some stuff out tomorrow , probably buy his new album whenever its comes out too

i much prefer justices harder stuff . waters of Nazareth ( best track of last year IMO) , phantom let there be light and the other remixes they've done

theyve already got a big following but this year when the albums released they're going to be HUGE. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0KPm8g2O54&mode=related&search=

I love getting you going on all bands on ed banger records. :p

I know of almost no one else who even appreciates the style of music at all. I've heard d.a.n.c.e, it's not exactly my cup of tea either but I still quite like it, Waters of Nazareth is absolutey stonking and phantom is quite good too. I quite like stuff by Kavinsky at the mo too. I'm thinking that Justice
are going to be pretty big too, I'm dying to go see them anywhere, they're playing/have played up in Hull that I should have/should go to...grr. :p

edit: was last night! :(

Hello there, and welcome to my world! I have nothing but UK talent on my portable MP3 player!

Most artists have already been mentioned here already.

Dizzee Rascal is a star! I love his composure! His daring attitude to try new things!

But the following are excellent

Dizzee Rascal
Kano
Sway
Akala
Skinnyman
Klashnekoff
Roll Deep
Fire Camp
Newham Generals
Scratchy
Lady Sov
Lady Fury
Wiley
Skepta
JME

Wiley is often called the father of the underground & grime scene. It is portrayed he kicked everything off mainstream. Listen to his early work! But, however, Skinnyman and Klashnekoff is a must. Absolute must. Not really grimey, more, clear and precise lyrics.

Edit: How could I forget Tinchy Stryder? Check out his tune on You Tube Breakaway. Fab tune. Oh, one last thing

That girl from school, that girl from college, that girl gives brains that girl gives knowledge, that girl gives **** that girl gives ****'s that girl gives **'s at all times! She looks decent, she looks fine. But don't talk about wifey she's not mine. She got battried, six in a line. Believe me thats not a good sign!

:D

Most of the people named in the above are great.

Dizzee is a great person in real life too :)

Had the honour to work with Roll Deep and a few other people for my Work Experience :)

Lady Sov has got quite a bit better too. Her album is quite okay.
