I keep almost buying Dj Hero, but I'm struggling to commit to spending that amount of cash on one game.

Anyone got it, and hate it/love it? Help me decide:D

If you do a search there is a thread with a lot of us enjoying the game.

In short its definitely worth a purchase although the DLC is a little pricey.

Now just a matter of which version to get:eek: Can get the renegade edition for £99, and the usual for no less than £80 ish...

Renegade comes with a Jay-Z/Eminem double album, normal turntable but with gold trim, and a carry case that doubles as a turntable stand.

My wife thinks im a sad act for still gaming at my age, so this might just tip her over the edge:)

Renegade it is!

Of course it's not worth it, it's £80 for a piece of plastic and a game.

It is however really, really good though. If you like the idea of the whole dj thing and are into this sort of music.

Tried this in a shop some weeks ago. Stood there for almost an hour lol.

Really temped to buy one but my other half thinks £99 is too much for a game. It's only £30 more than guitar hero but everyone seems to think thats ok! :o

to be honest i have not looked at how it works, i suppose it is aimed at people who dont want to spend years learning to mix in a similay way guitar hero works, each go their own and all that!

I'd like to see you mix something remotely close to some of the mixes on dj hero. Which have been created by greats such as dj shadow and grand master flash.

id happily let you listen to some of my mixing, if you like those guys though you probably wouldnt appeciate it.

and fyi just about every pre recorded "pro mix" you hear from a top teir dj is done on software with automation, not on decks.

No, it's a game that's meant to be fun and a bit of a diversion. I'm sure I'm not the only person that has a set of decks and DJ Hero.

Bought the renegade edition earlier this week for £99 and i have to say its a bundle of fun...had my brother around the other night and we had a good session on it...i was controlling the fader, the sound effect knob and the euphoria button while he was doing the scratching etc....yeh it was cheating but we had an absolute hoot doing it.

Great game if you have a bunch of friends around and want to have some fun...some of the mixes on there are pretty difficult.

Exactly, I have some 1210s and this is just nothing like mixing. Though I normally mix DnB, there is no beatmatching or bar counting etc required for DJ Hero. It's more just crossfader and scratching control.
