Its fairly obvious I'm new here, damn post count is a bit of a giveaway, but seeing as I can't find another similar thread.

What do you play?

Where do you play?

How long you been playing....

Etc etc.

I'm a DnB DJ and have been for nearly 9 years, I also dabble in Punk and raregroove. I've played all over the country :)

Do you have any links to some HArdcore mixes?

I'm not totally certain on the rules for that stuff, the admin here seem confused on the legalities of such things. Are we even allowed to discuss it? :s

It's not illegal as such as any action would purely be a civil case for the breach of copyright and could only seek associated damages for that breach. Damages can really only be sought from the distribution of the copyrighted material (i.e. proceeds from sales of the music) but OcUK has a vested business interest and would probably stand accused of using the copyrighted material to attract customers to their business.

Is that likely to happen? Would any of the artists or labels involved try? Hardly likely. But you can understand Overclockers reluctance to even risk it.

Copyright for mixes is a bit of a grey area. On the one hand it's a complete breach of copyright. On the other hand it's long been the best way for artists to get their music heard. Either way I can't see it ever happening on here.

Hmmm fair enough, but then I have permission from every person that sends me music to with it as i wish, by proxy they agree to the use of their music in mixes.

No gonna push it, just seems silly to me.

On with the show....where are all the DJ's at?
