Hey guys, dad bought the above router for some cheapo wireless networking. However I think he was expecting it to have a built in ADSL modem. Now I've had a play and it looks like it actually needs a seperate modem. To connect on my Netgear router I use PPPoA straight into the phone line, however the only relevant protocol I can see on the Dlink is PPPoE which I'm not sure but I'm thinking needs an ethernet modem?

Hope I'm not being really stupid here, but he does need a seperate ethernet broadband modem doesnt he?

Cheers

You'll need an ADSL modem, but you might find it's cheaper (and it's almost certain you'll find it's less hassle) to get shot of the router and get an ADSL router (ie a router which has a modem).
